Kelly Terpak

Director of the Education Innovation Programs (EIP)

Kelly Terpak is the Director of the Education Innovation Programs (EIP) division within the Office of Innovation and Improvement (OII), overseeing multiple grant programs in education innovation with a focus on the use and development of evidence, including the Investing in Innovation, Education Innovation and Research, Ready to Learn, and Skills for Success programs.

Prior to serving as the EIP Director, Ms. Terpak served in multiple rolls, including Deputy Director, team lead, and program officer. With OII since 2004, she served as a program officer with the Investing in Innovation program, and previously served as a program officer for multiple OII programs, including Teaching American History, Teacher Quality Partnership, and Presidential and Congressional Academies Programs for American History and Civics Education. She also represents OII and the Department on multiple evidence groups within the Department and across the federal government.

Ms. Terpak has a Bachelor’s degree in History from St. Mary’s College of California and a Master’s degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
