Stefan Huh

Director, Charter Schools Program

Stefan Huh oversees seven grant programs in CSP that support the development of high-quality public charter schools nationwide and evaluate their effectiveness. These programs provide money to: create new charter schools, disseminate information about ones with a proven track record, replicate and expand effective charter schools, help these schools find suitable facilities, and pay for national activities that support charter schools. CSP also funds entities that provide the charter school community with rich and varied resources.

Huh previously was the Director of the Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support in the District of Columbia’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education. There, he led programs that financed facilities, improved the equity of funding and facilities available to charter schools, collaborated with charter schools leaders, replicated high-performing charter schools, and worked to improve the quality of charter schools. Huh has also worked for Arthur Andersen LLP and an endowment fund that supports schools and programs for children from low-income families, and he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Samoa.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He is married with two children.
