The US Department of Education (Department) Office of State Support and the State Support Network cordially invite you to an ESSA State Collaboration Convening on Wednesday, July 19 in Washington, DC. This meeting is one of a series of state meetings being held in the DC area the week of July 17-21, including the National Title I Association Federal State Directors Meeting and the Department’s Office of Special Education Leadership Conference.  This meeting is designed to build on content and discussions at the other meetings.

This meeting will feature collaborative learning time for state staff to share their experiences and discuss key topics with peers and subject matter experts related to their consolidated state plans.  Participants will have opportunities to preview new resources, learn about new and ongoing State Support Network activities to support states as they develop and begin to implement their plans in the 2017-18 school year, and learn from other states’ work developed in communities of practice and peer to peer exchanges.

Additional information regarding this convening is included below, including a link to register for the event and sign up for tailored consultancy sessions.  These sessions will provide states with the opportunity to problem solve with subject matter experts and other states on a variety of priority topics.

Registration: Click here to register for the event and indicate your consultancy topic preferences by Friday, June 21, 2017.

If you have questions regarding meeting logistics for July 19, please contact Dana Chambers at If you have other questions about this state convening or other OSS sessions during the week, please contact your OSS program officer at OSS.[State] We hope you will join us in July.
