Dear Mr. Donohue:

I am in receipt of New Hampshire’s request for a brief extension of its approved timeline waiver for completion of your final assessment system under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. We understand that your contractor, Measured Progress, needs a few additional weeks to complete and submit technical information regarding alignment, reliability, and validity. Therefore, I am granting your request for an extension of the waiver period until January 18, 2002.

We anticipate that this additional time will enable you to complete the remaining components of your assessment system that are necessary for full compliance with Title I.
